Amethyst Specialist Cancer Massage Refresher E-Learning Course
Course Outline
This FHT approved course is a specially designed online training course for Amethyst graduates who have completed the face-to-face Amethyst Specialist Cancer Massage training course. Covering up to date theory and practical considerations of offering massage therapies to clients who have either experienced or are in treatment for cancer and is aligned with the SATCC Standard.
This course will cover:

Review of medical treatments and side effects

Massage considerations and adaptations

Working in alignment with the SATCC Standard

Clients’ questions and concerns when making bookings

Up dates on the contraindications

Skin care products and ingredients

Adapting massage techniques regarding short and long-term side effects

Lymphatic Wake-Up and Simple Lymphatic Drainage (SLD) techniques

Review your aftercare knowledge

Resilience for both yourself and your clients
Assessment Methods
There are three online Units that make up this course, each containing a variety of Topics, each Topic has a series of recap Quizzes to help consolidate your learning and remember the information as you go. Each Unit has a final Assessment which has a qualifying pass rate of 80%.
Pre-Requisite Requirements
Amethyst Specialist Cancer Massage Certificate or equivalent*.
Qualification certificates must be shown on enrolment.

Duration
Online home study takes 6-8 hours and can be studied at your leisure. From enrolment you will have 2 months to complete the course.
